Hello, Queensland! It’s good to be home.   

Liked goslings. The bird reserve was one of our favourite spots. 

Last day in Rotorua. By accident we found a huge bird-breeding area with tons of seagulls, cormorants and geese.  Among the highlights were cute goslings and our first-ever glimpse of a cormorant chick!

Then we went to go up a mountain by gondola, where, among other things, we found alpacas. A great note to finish our holiday on.

Well, its real name is Matamata. But you get the village’s main source of income. I mean, they offer “Hobbit Sushi”!!   

A happy day on the Russell heritage trail. Otherwise known as “playing at the beach”.  It was warm for a change. 

We’re taking a half-day cruise through the Bay of Islands.  Look who came out to play! 

It’s ANZAC Day today, and the weather was glorious, sunny and warm. Like high summer in the UK at its best.
